Italian men’s wear company Boglioli has opened its first offshore branch in the U.S., called Boglioli USA Corp.
“Our expectations for the U.S. market are ambitious. It is the main reason why we decided to invest directly,” stated Boglioli chief executive officer Giovanni Mannucci. “We believe that the region requires a presence in situ in order to serve our customers more effectively.”
The company has tapped David Newlove to serve as managing director of the new branch. The appointment will be effective July 1.
“Joining Boglioli is a dream for me,” stated Newlove, who previously served GFT/Valentino as national sales manager, along with Armani Collezioni as wholesale vice president and Giorgio Armani Black Label as vice president. “I’ve admired their innovative product and their brilliant story for so many years. They still remain ahead of their time, and, yet, have barely scratched the surface in terms of their commercial potential in North America.”
