She recently offered fans an alternative guide to Christmas, but with the festive fun over Cara Delevingne got down to the serious business of celebrating Christmas – far, far away from British shores. Indeed, the willowy model was spotted wading into the surf during a year-end break at the luxurious Heron Bay resort in sunny Barbados – the native home of close pal Rihanna.
But while the Bajan songstress celebrated Christmas with her family on the other side of the island, Cara was making a splash in the ocean a mere stone’s throw from her holiday retreat – and revealed was appeared to be a distinctive tattooed quote on her chest. The line in question, Don’t Worry Be Happy – the title of Bobby McFerrin’s 1988 hit single – was clearly evident beneath her equine print bikini as she waded into the surf on Boxing Day.
Cara Delevingne later plodded back onto the sand, where a gallant assistant was ready and waiting with a large beach towel that she gratefully accepted before making her way back to her sun lounger. The tanned assistant was back moments later with a cold drink that he served to grateful Cara on a silver platter while she chatted with a female companion. After drying herself the model showed off some impressive footballing skills before changing into a white vest top and denim shorts for a jaunt around the bay on a small boat.
Earlier this year she was given a warning from her modelling agency to stay away from the tattoo parlour after getting an equally distinctive ‘Made in England’ tattoo on the base of her foot – but it wasn’t enough to prevent her paying a visit to Brazilian tattooist Daniel Tucci. ‘I drew a Number 12 in black Roman numerals about five centimetres big on her,’ he later told Yahoo! OMG. ‘She told me that 12 is her lucky number and that’s her lucky place, below her breast. The 2nd tattoo is the Southern Cross, a constellation made of five stars, which is one of the symbols of Brazil.
‘It’s a cross made with stars around her ear, one star on the top of the ear, one behind, one on the back, one below and one on the tragus, like a circle around her ear.’ On Christmas Eve Magazine celebrated the final door on its advent calendar with an alternative to the Queen’s speech – the Cara Delevingne guide to Christmas. The model gave tips like ‘eat your greens’ and pairing turkey with bacon in her typical whacky style while being filmed by her older sister Poppy.
Wearing more outfits than a typical Victoria’s Secret collection, the star showed off her risqué, wild side as she spanked various piece of furniture with a leather whip and writhed around in next-to-nothing. In the opening scene Cara appears dressed in bondage underwear from a darkened room and addressed her followers in a deep, husky voice. With the merriments of East17’s Stay playing in the background, the festive scene is well and truly set as the star goes about her top tips for Christmas for Magazine.
Beginning, she said: ‘Merry Christmas everybody, I hope you haven’t been too naughty like this pig.’ Getting a leather whip out, the star strikes the pig on the bottom as she wears a corset that her hands are chained to by handcuffs. Cutting to the next scene rather quickly the star then lies on the floor wearing a mint green onesie, pumping iron with a light hand-weight.
The star then gives her second top tip, saying: ‘If you want to stay fit, stay away from the candy.’ Another scene, another outfit; the star is seen wearing a leopard print coat with a leopard print blanket and a lion hat on. She pulls out a sword and slices the top off a bottle of Irish Cream, and then proceeds to glug from the bottle.
In the next scene the model is filmed wearing several different hats including a turkey bonnet – Cara reaches into her pocket and gets out a bacon-flavour lipstick saying ‘Remember what goes well with turkey… bacon!’ The London-born model finished her ditty with a well-phrased goodbye as she blows her final bubble. Wearing a panda hat Cara said, ‘Remember to stay cosy at Christmas – Merry Christmas.’
