But the hitmaker appeared to have had even more cut off her already short ‘do today, when she turned heads at L’Oreal’s The Brush Contest in London.
The 31-year-old X Factor stunner was taking on another judging role for the cosmetics brand, by helping select their next make-up designer. As she sauntered into the capital’s Mondrian Hotel, the singer’s striking red hair and trim pins were impossible to miss in her thigh-skimming attire.
The Girls Aloud star’s unusual, black minidress featured pale green detailing on the shoulders and collar, as well as a navy panel across the bust and zip-up front.
Cheryl – who was minus her husband Jean-Bernard for the event – polished off her ensemble with mint stilettos and simple silver earrings.
She tweeted prior to her arrival: "Today I will be judging the UK final of #TheBrushContest. I’m also taking over the @lorealparisuk Instagram page… keep checking there for updates."
The beauty posed for a number of online snaps, after updating her followers on her latest hairstyle. Her outing came just hours after the Geordie slammed the current trend for scantily-clad singers in the music industry.
The stunner expressed her distaste at today’s crop of overtly sexual stars, but blamed "men behind the scenes" for the amount of flesh-flashing.
Cheryl told The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine: "The music industry is dominated by men behind the scenes. And older men, too.
"I mean, sexy and all that is great to an extent, but you shouldn’t have to sexualise yourself to be selling music."
