Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson to Star in Movie Ghosted

Avengers’ Captain America and Black Widow, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are reuniting for Apple Studios’ romantic action-adventure film, Ghosted.

Dexter Fletcher, who earlier directed Elton John’s biopic Rocketman, will be helming the project. According to Hollywood website Deadline, the stars are in advanced negotiations with the makers of the film. Evans will co-produce the project.

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, who worked together in six Avengers films – The Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, will be sharing screen space once again for Apple Studios’ Ghosted.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the project is “a high-concept romantic action-adventure in the vein of Romancing the Stone.” Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script.

Apart from MCU, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson worked together in The Perfect Score (2004) and The Nanny Diaries (2007).

Scarlett Johansson and SNL star Colin Jost welcomed their first child, a boy, Cosmo, recently. The Black Widow actress already has a daughter, Rose, from her marriage with Romain Dauriac. Colin confirmed the news of the arrival of the baby on his Instagram account. In his post, he urged fans and media to give them privacy.

Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson is engaged in a fierce court case with Disney, the owner of Marvel Studios. The legal battle is about the hybrid release (simultaneously in theatres and on Disney+) of her standalone MCU film Black Widow. According to the actress, the hybrid release robbed her of $50 million worth of bonuses.
