The 34-year-old Canadian rapper has grown close to Leia’s son with former NFL player Aaron Bailey, Amari Bailey, TMZ reported. The outlet also reported that Drake has been mentoring Amari on handling attention and pressure, as he is set to become a basketball player for UCLA in 2022. He currently plays for the Sierra Canyon High basketball team.
Sources close to Drake and Leia told TMZ that they had met months ago through high school basketball. The pair reportedly hit it off and Drake has since then offered Amari advice on matters related to finances, fame, and life in general. The three have reportedly hung out at Drake’s home several times in recent months.
On Thursday, Drake was spotted having a private romantic dinner with Leia at the Dodger Stadium. A helicopter camera spotted Drake at a table with the model and influencer, near the dugout on the third-base side of the field.
Photos and videos from their date showed the two wearing personalized Dodgers jerseys for the occasion. Several bouquets of flowers and glasses of rose champagne were also spotted on the large white table in front of them. A bartender was also seen standing behind a white bar just a few meters away.
Initial reports stated that the hip-hop superstar rented out the Dodger Stadium for their cozy date night. However, a source later told TMZ that the date night at the arena was made possible by the hefty donation Drake had made to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation recently.
After their private date night last week, Leia helped fuel speculation of a possible relationship over the weekend when she shared a video of herself on Instagram, set to Drake’s “Laugh No Cry Later.”
