Days after the explosive BuzzFeed report that referred to her current and previous workers about the apparently cheery show being ‘toxic’ and ‘ oppressive ‘ behind closed doors, it has been revealed that the staff is quite relieved and happy that reality has finally come out.
An Us Weekly source that’s “connected to the talk show’s production” unveiled: “They’ have been calling and texting one another about the story. They’re loving that the reality which has been a secret for quite a long time in the industry is eventually receiving more interest.”
While DeGeneres still can’t seem to deal the issue, her show’s producer Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly, and Andy Lassner released a press release to E! News, saying.
“We are truly heartbroken and sorry to find out that even one person in our production family has had a negative experience. It isn’t what our identity is and not whom we attempt to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us. For the record, the day to day responsibility of the Ellen show is totally on us. We pay attention to the entire issue very seriously and that we realize, as many within the world are learning, that we would like to try to better, are committed to trying to better, and that we will do better.”
