Gucci Expanding Watch Business With Fabbrica Quadranti Acquisition

SPEAKING OF TIME: Gucci is expanding its watch business. Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry has acquired Fabbrica Quadranti, a Swiss-based company that has been manufacturing watch faces for Gucci for 15 years. The agreement has been signed between the Florentine company and Marco and Michela Longhi, owner of Fabbrica Quadranti, which currently has 38 employees.

Separately, Gucci has teamed up with courier company TNT Express Italy to launch High Street Fashion, a zero-emission service delivering Gucci items from TNT warehouses to the Gucci stores in the center of Milan with electric vans.

The same sustainable service will be used to deliver goods at the stores of the other brands under the Kering umbrella, including Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartney, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen.
