Globe published a story about Gwyneth Paltrow in this week’s issue and said that the actress is pickled.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s surprising confession
During an episode of her lifestyle show on the Goop website, Paltrow said that she had been drinking alcohol every night during the lockdown. And her favorite variant is the Buster Paltrow, which was named after her grandfather.
“I went totally off the rails. I drank alcohol during quarantine. I was drinking seven nights a week and making pasta and eating bread. I mean, who drinks multiple drinks seven nights a week? Like, that’s not healthy,” she said.
The actress also revealed that she loves whiskey. However, she only loves whiskey that’s a mix of quinoa and alcohol from a particular distillery in Tennessee.
“It’s heaven. I would have two of those every night of quarantine,” she said.
Rumors debunked
Paltrow’s revelation shouldn’t be a cause for concern. After all, a lot of people broke their healthy habits while in quarantine.
Miley Cyrus admitted that she also went off the rails with her sobriety while she was on lockdown.
As such, the tabloid’s suggestion that Paltrow is an alcoholic or that she needs help is incorrect.
Gwyneth Paltrow tested positive for COVID-19
Meanwhile, Paltrow also made headlines earlier this year after she revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19. The actress also told her fans that she suffered from some long-tail fatigue and brain fog.
A professor from NHS England warned the actress against the longstanding effects of COVID-19. Prof. Stephen Powis also encouraged Gwyneth Paltrow to try the ketogenic diet and stop taking sugar and alcohol.
Powis also encouraged the actress and those suffering from the virus to only believe in trustworthy information that they can find online about the disease.
“Like the virus, misinformation carries across borders and it mutates and it evolves. So I think YouTube and other social media platforms have real responsibility and opportunity here. In the last few days, I see Gwyneth Paltrow is, unfortunately, suffering from the effects of Covid. We wish her well, but some of the solutions she’s recommending are really not the solutions we’d recommend in the NHS. We need to take long Covid seriously and apply serious science. All influencers who use social media have a duty of responsibility and a duty of care around that,” he said.
Gwyneth Paltrow has since recovered from COVID-19.
