Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have riled up fans, made headlines and supported each other in various ways in 2019. Their loyal fans are an eagle-eyed lot and watch out for anything or everything that connects the two together. Well, apart from Justin Bieber of course. Hailey and Selena recently made headlines when the supermodel’s supposedly shaded Selena after her single ‘Lose You To Love Me’ was released. The song outrightly spoke about Hailey’s husband Justin and Selena’s strained relationship and following the release of the song, Hailey shared a screen shot of the song “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker.
While those were definitely not Hailey’s intentions, the timing of her post couldn’t be ignored. However, the supermodel had some thoughts on this social media uproar. Speaking to British Vogue, in her latest interview, Hailey said, “I think social media is a breeding ground for toxicity and people creating false drama between women and trying to put women up against each other and create these narratives that are just…toxic. I think that has to change and that has to stop.”
Without naming names, Hailey pointed out that people need to ‘move on’ from this stuff. “I think there needs to be more people with platforms coming together and saying to each other, ‘Let’s kill the conversation, let’s kill the fake drama, let’s squash all these things, let’s move on from stuff. Let’s not give people a reason to fuel fire and create drama and being rude to each other,'” Hailey told British Vogue.
Since then, Hailey has liked Selena’s Instagram post and the singer has also stated that she “will never stand for women tearing other women down.”
