The Royal Family is bracing for Prince Harry’s new memoir set to be published on January 10. Penguin Random House revealed the book will be titled “Spare”, raising concerns about the content of the book.

Royal biographer Angela Levin pushed back against the suggestion that Harry was viewed or treated like a spare when he was still a working royal. She told GB News’ host Nana Akua: “He wasn’t treated like a spare. He was incredibly popular, the most popular next to the Queen.

“Because he was mischievous because he was fun. He was very lively. “William’s got a much harder life because it is so demanding to be a King and to be an heir.”

The royal author said: “He has got what he wanted. He has got freedom as much as he likes, he has got a woman he absolutely adores, and he has got children.

“He has got 16 bathrooms. It is really astonishing that he cannot say anything good despite having lots and lots of therapy.”

Angela Levin added that if Prince Harry is publishing the book “purely” for financial reasons, “then it is absolutely more shocking”.  She said: “He should have come to a border where he said: ‘I’m not going further.”

“I think you should protect your family even if you fall out with them,” Ms Levin said. “You do not want to tell the world all the nasty details of how people are because no parent is perfect.

“And I wonder how his children are going to react to the fact they have never known his father’s family”, Ms Levin said, suggesting Harry would burn bridges with the Royal Family with the memoir.

After the Queen’s death in early September, speculation swirled around what Prince Harry would do with his memoir, with some royal commentators suggesting he could either ditch or edit some parts of it.

The Penguin Random House put an end to rumors, confirming the “intimate and heartfelt” book is going ahead and will be published in early January with an audiobook read by the author.

The book will include his full account covering Harry’s dedication to military service, his decision to give up royal duties, his move to the US with his wife Meghan, and the joy he found in being a husband and a father.

With the proceeds from the book, Prince Harry will donate $1.5million (around £1.3million) to Sentebale, an organization he founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers’ legacies, which supports vulnerable children and young people in the AIDS-stricken southern African countries of Lesotho and Botswana.

The Duke of Sussex is also expected to support the non-profit organization WellChild with a donation of £300,000.
