Harry would be the first member of the Royal Family to ever attend the Met Gala if they do get invited and show up to the red carpet event. A-list celebrities, such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna, frequently attend the enormous fashion extravaganza that Anna Wintour of Vogue magazine organizes and oversees.
In recent weeks, rumors regarding whether they will be invited have grown, but a top celebrity PR specialist has shot down suggestions that they won’t go. The rumor that Meghan and Harry won’t be invited to the Met Gala due to the tension around them is, quite well, laughable, Mayah Riaz told The Mirror.
“Drama comes to mind when you think of the Met Gala. It is a byword for grand drama. Harry and Meghan attending the Met Gala will undoubtedly generate more attention and perhaps even suspicion.
She did, however, predict that Meghan and Harry could decline the invitation to the Met Gala given that the Coronation of King Charles III was taking place at Westminster Abbey in London less than four days later.
The Met Gala would take place a few days after the King’s Coronation, Ms. Riaz continued. So it’s possible that Harry and Meghan are in London getting ready for the momentous occasion.
It “may be the real reason they might not be getting the invite to the Met Gala,” according to the statement. “With the pair declining the invitation, it’ll be the Met Gala getting the snub instead of the other way around,” she continued.
Yet, there have also been rumors that Harry and Meghan may be “snubbed” at this year’s Met Gala because of their initial accusations against the Royal Family.

Even if the pair receives an invitation, Mr. James said, “I don’t think they’re going to go because they’ll surely face scrutiny, no matter how hard they might try to limit fallout – especially given how near this event is to the Royal Coronation.”
Also, he thinks that Harry and Meghan’s absence from a number of glamorous occasions over the past several months would indicate a change in tactic. The couple isn’t always renowned for keeping quiet, but the PR expert said: “I think we are beginning to see a difference in how they want to be presented. Whether this is actually by choice, though, we may never know.”
