During Remembrance Sunday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the Los Angeles National Cemetery. They laid wreaths to commemorate Remembrance Day.
However, their move caused them to gain more disapprovals.
Although laying a wreath has been the monarchy’s tradition, the royal watchers and experts only saw their move as a publicity stunt.
Ingrid Seward sat down for an interview with The Sun, where she claimed that they used Remembrance Day to promote himself and his wife.
“The Sussex’s wanted it to look like they cared, which I am sure they did. But it backfired and looked like what it was – a publicity stunt,” she claimed.
Instead of popularity, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex only realized that Prince Harry is no longer connected to the royal family.
Before visiting the cemetery, the monarchy initially refused to have Prince Harry’s wreath during Remembrance Sunday. The courtiers did not want to lay it under his name since he is no longer a senior royal.
Another royal expert, Robert Lacey, believed that the royal family completely remove the two out of their lives.
“If the royal family or the palace wanted to co-operate then it would seem to be a perfectly reasonable request to make that could have been fulfilled,” Lacey said. “I don’t think it augurs well for the prospects of a reconciliation.”
Because of Megxit, Prince Harry’s life as a royal also ended.
Meghan Markle believes that their exit would make things better for them. But nothing happened according to her plans.
In another interview with Page Six, Seward claimed that Meghan truly did not want a private life.
“Meghan’s whole thing was, ‘Look at me’, but I think she had a big heart and really want to make things better,” Seward said. “She and Harry really did want to make things better together and all they’ve actually managed to do it make things worse.”
Through her royal wedding with Prince Harry, she thought she would finally get more supporters. However, she only caused more royal rifts.
Unfortunately, she also caused distress to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who lost their grandson because of her.
