Did Prince Harry Give Up Beloved Pastime For Meghan Markle?

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the United Kingdom to pursue a life in North America, they’ve had to find ways to maintain their income. One of the ways they have done that inadvertently is by selling off some of their stuff.

In a new report from The Sun, it’s been discovered that Harry privately sold a whopping £50,000 (which is about $61,711.75) worth of prized Purdey firearms just before jetting off from England. A pal of the buyer told the publication, “He bought them because he wanted them, not because they belonged to Harry, but he was quite chuffed when he found out.”

“They are beautiful examples and he’s very pleased with them but he’s not the sort of person who wants to boast about the royal connection,” they added.

While that’s a hefty sum and will likely help the Duke and Duchess of Sussex meet their financial needs, the British publication also mentioned that 86-year-old conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall suspects Harry will give up hunting entirely because Meghan doesn’t like it.

“I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting,” she said.

Goodall also had some input on how the father of 1-year-old son Archie is dealing with such a drastic change in his life during an interview in mid-April.

“I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging just now,” she dished.

Royal expert Angela Mollard added her two cents on the situation on her ROYALS podcast.
