What Is Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Most Iconic Photo?

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they would be stepping back from their senior duties on Jan. 8, they officially vacated their positions in the royal family in March.

However, the couple returned to the UK for their final royal appearance at the Commonwealth  Day service.

During their trip, royal family photographer Samir Hussein photographed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex braving the rain while huddling together under an umbrella in London.

“The picture that I took of Harry and Meghan in the rain recently, I’ve never had a reaction to a picture like that one,” Hussein told Us Weekly.

“In terms of the reaction I’ve had from people, that’s got to be the most iconic from that point of view,” the photographer added.

Although the photo has been admired by many, Hussein was thrilled to learn that  Meghan and Harry were happy about the candid photo. “I spoke to some of their team and they were really happy about it and talking about it,” he said.

However, now that the couple has permanently relocated to Los Angeles, Hussein won’t be able to capture those special moments. “I’m really disappointed that I won’t get to photograph them so much anymore,” he confessed.

“I’ve really, really enjoyed photographing them. I’m going to miss photographing them. I hope to get to photograph them [again],” he said.

Hussein also recalled the fun times he had before Kate Middleton and Meghan married into the royal family. “Before [Duchess] Kate and Meghan came on the scene, they used to do tours together,” he explained.

“I used to go away with them quite a lot on tours, and yeah, they’ve always had an amazing brotherly bond.”

Nowadays, Prince William and Prince Harry have been spending time apart following the Duke of Sussex’s move to America and the coronavirus pandemic.
