This included a surprise appearance by Her Majesty, who was absent from some of the celebrations due to mobility issues but made a special cameo on the final day of the festivities. Still, some noticed that two other royals were missing from the last day of Jubilee weekend.
According to The Sun, the Sussex family flew back to the United States before the Platinum Jubilee Pageant started on Sunday. The royal couple was spotted at Santa Barbara Airport after leaving their private jet, with the staff grabbing a few of their belongings.
Though Markle and Prince Harry didn’t take part in the balcony photo, they did participate in a few events over the weekend. Last Friday, the royal couple went to the Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral. They looked right at home, especially Harry, as he had a good laugh with his family members.
The married couple also had a chance to reunite with Prince William and Kate Middleton at the service—even though they did not sit together for the ceremony. Instead, the royals were joined by Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mozzi, who sat beside them.
Sadly, the queen was absent from the service due to her mobility issues, but that didn’t stop her from meeting her great-granddaughter, Lilibet, for the first time. The two had a private meeting shortly after the Trooping the Colour birthday parade. Then, the young royal celebrated her first birthday on June 4.
We loved seeing Prince Harry and Markle be a part of the Jubilee celebrations, even if it were only for a short time.
