Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a huge announcement by declaring that they are quitting their royal roles. Shortly after the announcement, Markle flew to Canada to be with their son Archie.

Apparently, the royal couple returned to the U.K. without their firstborn. Thus, Markle had to immediately fly back to Vancouver for their baby. Prince Harry is expected to reunite with his wife and son, but they have to wait a bit longer.

According to New Idea, Prince Harry’s still has some engagements on his plate. On Thursday, Prince William’s brother will conduct the 2021 Rugby League World Cup draw at Buckingham Palace. That will be Prince Harry’s first duty post the controversial Megxit.

Meanwhile, Markle is also resuming her philanthropic work. The duchess recently visited a women’s shelter just days after she returned to Canada.

Before the Sussexes announced that they are quitting as senior members of the royal family, their were rumors that their marriage was on the rocks. According to a report, Prince Harry allegedly divorced Markle and he would postpone his return to the royal family.

Another publication claimed that their relationship was under serious strain since they attended the WellChild Awards in London last Oct. 15. Markle was reportedly seen storming off on her husband who looked visibly stressed and upset.

Apparently, the claim was not true. Days after the report made headlines, Prince Harry and Markle returned to the U.K. and made their first royal engagement for the year. They also made the shocking announcement that left Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William furious and disappointed.

Royal photographer Arthur Edwards stated that the situation was also difficult for Prince Harry. In fact, he was convinced that there were a few tears when the royals had their crisis talks in Sandringham on Monday.

“It’s a difficult decision for him, but I think he wants to please his wife. I think she wants to obviously be in surroundings she’s more comfortable with,” Edwards said before adding that Prince Harry will remain the most loved royal.
