With Harry living in California now, it was slightly more difficult for him to figure out a way to pay his respects to his mother who is buried in the UK, but the Duke of Sussex managed just fine.
Omid Scobie, Harper’s Bazaar royal editor, explained how Prince Harry was celebrating his mother via Twitter:
A spokesperson for Prince Harry says that he arranged for flowers to be laid at the grave of Princess Diana on the Spencer family estate in Althorp, Northamptonshire for #MothersDay in the UK today. pic.twitter.com/ckO9qDG52F

William also made sure to honor his mom. On the Kensington Royal Instagram page, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge explained how they were celebrating the special day, and it included a sweet tribute to Princess Diana.

Their caption extended kindness to anyone celebrating the day, particularly those who had lost their mothers. Plus, it explained the carousel of cards shown in the post: “Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William.” So sweet!
Their children also made a cake to celebrate.

Although Harry and William might not be as close now as they once were, they definitely still share the same sentiment when it comes to honoring their mom, echoing what Harry said in his Oprah interview: “As I said before, I love William to bits. We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.”
“The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment,” he continued. “And time heals all things, hopefully.”
We hope so too!
