According to reports, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are none too pleased over the fact that Rupert Murdoch and The Sun have been trying to buy stories about Harry from the partner of one of Harry’s employees.
As of press time, no legal steps have been taken but apparently Prince Harry is ready to make due with his threats. He has reportedly summoned his lawyers and is focusing on litigious attention on Rupert Murdoch, who happens to be the publisher of News UK, which publishes The Sun, along with royal ‘expert’ Dan Wootton.
Apparently, The Sun was trying to squeeze out information about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from his former employee Christian Jones and his partner Callum Stephens, who happens to be a freelance publicist. Callum is also good friends with Dan Wooton.
There’s speculation that Callum might be the source of all the tips that the tabloids got about Harry and Meghan going through six different nannies after their son Archie was born and how things for quite messy between the royal couple and Queen Elizabeth after they announced their intentions to step away from their royal duties.
While it’s uncertain if Christian Jones was the source of all these leaks, all fingers are pointing to his partner Callum and Dan Wooton. BI Investigates puts it this way, “Whatever the case and whether it does indeed involve [Christian] Jones, someone has been briefing The Sun about the Duke and Duchess Sussex’s private and family life, which is clearly a matter which requires serious investigation, not least to prevent the misidentification of the person responsible and quash social media speculation.”
