Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a video of Archie to mark his first birthday on May 6. In the clip, the Duchess of Sussex reads the children’s book ‘Duck! Rabbit!’ to her son while the Duke personally films the heartwarming scene.
However, ITV This Morning host Phillip Schofield noticed something strange about the Prince’s accent.
Royal commentator Camilla Tominey told the presenter: “It was quite funny to hear Harry in the background chuckling away.”
Mr Schofield pointed out: “It also sounded like he had a Scottish accent at one stage.”
Ms Tominey added: “Did he? Yes, he seemed to be chirping.
“You know how people speak to babies though, we all sound ridiculous.”
She continued: “I just thought it was quite heartwarming.
“There was some lovely chemistry obviously between Meghan and Archie.
“It was just great to see him because since they’ve moved to the states, we don’t know when we’re going to be seeing more of him.
“I just thought it was nice to see him in technicolour and being a bit mischievous.”
The Duke and Duchess used the opportunity to encourage fans to donate to a number of causes aimed at helping young people.
The couple have partnered with charity Save the Children.
This is in hopes of helping children affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Harry, Meghan and Archie are currently living in Los Angeles, California.
The family moved there from Canada before the international lockdown travel restrictions were implemented.
They officially stopped being working senior royals at the end of March.
As their last royal engagement, the couple took part in Westminster Abbey’s Commonwealth Day celebrations with the rest of the family.
The Duke and Duchess plan to split their time evenly between the UK and abroad.
