As states across the country issued stay-at-home orders amid the coronavirus outbreak, people were spending a lot more time inside. Parks, recreational spaces, and entertainment spaces alike were closed as many attempted to stop the spread of the virus. With pretty much nothing to do it left people wondering how the 52-year-old actress managed to break a bone.
Thanks to her husband, country star Keith Urban, fans now know. During a chat with the Australian talk show “The Project”, Urban explained how Kidman got hurt.
“About five weeks ago she was running around the neighborhood as she does and just didn’t see a pothole and rolled her ankle and got a small break in her ankle,” he said. “And so she’s been relegated to the boot for the last handful of weeks and is still sort of getting through it.”
“Her spirits have been amazing, I gotta say,” he added. “She’s been handling it way better than I would’ve.”
Urban also shared that he and his wife have extended family in Australia and are eager for it to safe t travel for a visit. While they are waiting for that to happen, though, they’ve been isolating with their two daughters, 11-year-old Sunday and 9-year-old Faith, in their Nashville home.
Fans may recall that the couple’s daughters have made a few cameos in the HBO series “Big Little Lies,” which the mother of four stars in. In May 2019, ahead of the Season 2 premiere, she revealed where the two girls could be spotted.
“You see them fleeting in the classroom scenes,” the 51-year old gushed at the time. “…there’s something wonderful about bringing your children to work, and them seeing what you do, and being a part of it, and being interested and curious and feeling like it’s theirs as well.”
