According to Harper’s Bazaar, the Queen has summoned Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Prince William for a four-way meeting to discuss the Sussexes’ future after they announced that they are quitting their royal roles.
It will be the first time for the four royals to meet each other after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s shocking announcement. And according to Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips, his grandmother is doing “alright.”
On Sunday, Queen Elizabeth II was spotted attending a church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church ahead of the royals’ crisis talks. She was accompanied by some members of the royal family including her eldest grandson.
When Phillips was asked how the monarch was coping since the news, his positive response gave a slight relief from the tension embroiling the members of the Firm in the past few days.
According to previous reports, the Queen was furious and disappointed in Prince Harry and Markle for not telling them ahead of their announcement. The couple reportedly didn’t inform any senior members of the royal family and the latter only learned about their announcement when it was reported on TV.
Prince William and Prince Charles were also not happy. In fact, the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge were reportedly “incandescent with rage.”
Meanwhile, some criticized Markle for leaving her husband behind after their shocking announcement. According to sources, Markle flew back to Canada to reunite with their son Archie after announcing that they are stepping back from their royal duties.
“The way Meghan is hiding in Canada only ‘dialing in’ to the family meeting shows exactly what a coward she is. Manipulating Harry, splitting him from his family instigating the split and then leaving him alone when he needs her the most. [explicit]!” one wrote on Twitter.
