It’s Not Over For Trump

I want to say Thank You to all of the Democratic Senators, and to the Republicans who were brave enough to recognize and vote their conscience in accordance with their oath. I have a new formed respect for those who have the gumption and courage to do what they know is right.

We all know wrong is just wrong. There are no two ways about it. If an official of the US commited a heinous crime, such as Trump did, he must pay for his actions. Everybody knows this. Not just the Senate. Not just those in the US. Everyone!

18 U.S. Code § 2383 – Rebellion or insurrection

“Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

Consider this: I have recently found that the DOJ is looking into bringing charges against Trump, et al under 18 U.S. Code § 2383. This is interesting. I believe that Trump and his “wonderful” attorneys would have probably been better off if they would have ignored the impeachment proceedings, or just read Green Eggs and Ham during their presentation and stipulated that Trump could be convicted under the Constitution. Once he received his comeuppance through the impeachment process, a civil proceeding, America would have been satisfied and moved on.

Since it was so important for him to be acquitted at that hearing, to keep him from running again it will be necessary to invoke 18 U.S. Code § 2383 and charge him with Rebellion or Insurrection. This is a felony that, if found guilty carries with it a fine and up to 10 years in a Federal penitentiary. Since the evidence is already overwhelming, and time will bring even more damaging evidence against Trump, et al, what fools they are.
