According to the National Enquirer the reason for the split between Jessica and Tony was that Jessica Simpson was constantly pressuring Tony Romo to get married, but what really pushed him over the edge was that she wanted a big, flashy birthday party while he preferred to do something low-key and intimate.
They do not seem to have parted on friendly terms either since Jessica is currently persona non grata at his home in Dallas.
