The 22-year-old singer apologised to fans for the ‘legal conditions’ that have kept him out of the country. Justin Bieber has had a checkered history with various countries since his rise to fame. And it seems the singer has also landed himself in hot water with Argentina. Taking to Twitter on Monday, the Love Yourself star revealed he wasn’t able to perform in the country as part of his Purpose tour. "Argentinian beliebers I would like nothing more than to bring the purposetour there but the Argentinian government won’t allow it. So sorry," he wrote, in a now-deleted tweet.

Argentina I do love you. It is in fact one of my favorite places to tour. I wish this was not the case. My lawyers say it is what it is.

If things were to change I would love to come but at this time I cannot. For everyone else in South America I look forward to seeing you," he contined. Argentina I do love you. The Canadian who’s currently in the middle of his worldwide Purpose tour also shared a gif from his hit single Sorry as a way of apologising to any fans he had let down. In 2013, the star caused outrage after a video emerged of him sweeping the Argentinian national flag off stage with his foot mid-concert. Following the controversy, the Biebs was forced to issue a lengthy apology on Twitter, in which he explained he thought it was a shirt. "I’m sorry if that was taken the wrong way and I’m sorry for my mistake. I hope you can accept this.. and I loved my time there performing for you and look forward to coming back," he wrote at the time. But it seems relations haven’t thawed in the few years since. Earlier this month, Justin appeared to have dropped himself in it again after he was filmed ‘tossing aside’ the national flag for a second time.
