Shortly after the video was uploaded, the Sussexes shared their own clip via their official Instagram account. Prince Harry and Markle also included footage of the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge at Wimbledon.
The clip shows the two female royals laughing and chatting amid rumors of a rift. While speaking with Express, royal blogger and enthusiast, Kate Disick, said that the video that Middleton and Prince William uploaded holds a secret message for the Sussexes and Markle in particular.
“Some of their favorite moments depicted in the video would possibly surprise many royal fans given their [Kate and Meghan’s] turbulent relationship. Including the images of baby Archie could be a way for the Cambridge’s to extend an olive branch to the Sussex’s,” Disick said.
The royal blogger said that this may be the Cambridges’ elegant and subtle way of trying to convey to the Sussexes that they want their relationship to improve in 2020. And since Prince Harry and Markle also included the Cambridge in their 2019 highlights, it seems that they also want the same thing.
Meanwhile, at least one royal fan is also looking forward to the day when Prince William and Prince Harry would also reconcile.
“Brothers love each other no matter what. These two young men are extraordinary, with how they have had to perform for the savage negative media since they were children,” Instagram user @denhamloretta said.
