Kate Middleton’s New Year’s Eve Activities Examined After Alleged Meghan Snub

Kate Middleton and Prince William joined the Middletons in welcoming the new year.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge together with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, spent Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II. But the family welcomed the New Year with a party with the Middletons.

According to Express, after spending most of their holidays with Prince William’s side, the Cambridges headed to Kate’s parents. The Middletons live in Berkshire and they are known for their New Year parties. The family usually hosts more than 100 guests including Kate’s sister Pippa.

The Middletons reportedly go all out for the New Year’s Eve celebration. In fact, on one occasion, Pippa rented a 100-person capacity teepee. Their theme at the time was the ultimate winter wonderland party and their house was adorned with a dance floor. It was Prince William and Middleton’s first New Year’s Eve together.

Prior to the report, Radar Online claimed that the Duchess of Sussex was fuming at the Duchess of Cambridge for purposely snubbing her.  Markle reportedly felt she was “totally left out” because Middleton didn’t invite her to her New Year’s plan. Middleton was allegedly hosting a party and invited Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, as well as Mike and Zara Tindall, but not Prince Harry and Markle.

The claim was not true. As reported, Prince William and Middleton headed to the Middletons home. Also, Prince Harry and Markle are not in the U.K. If it’s true that Middleton is hosting a party herself, the Sussexes would still skip it even if the future queen wanted them to be there because Prince Harry and Markle are in Canada.

Also, Zara and Mike were spotted celebrating the New Year with actress Rebel Wilson in Sydney. The “Pitch Perfect” star shared a snap of them from a mansion overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Instagram. In her caption, Wilson said that she celebrated New Year with a “fun gang.”

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle were criticized for spending the holidays away from Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Some even called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “inconsiderate and selfish” because they didn’t consider how many Christmases are left for the monarch and Duke of Edinburgh given their age.
