When it comes to the British Royal Family, there is hardly anything about their life that tabloids are not interested in. And if there isn’t any news about them, tabloids are happy to cook up rumors to cash in on the hype surrounding the royal members.
Of late, the rumor is that Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton is pregnant with her fourth child just to diffuse the tension over Meghan and Harry stepping down as senior royal members. But is it true?
Recently, the latest edition of Woman’s Day ran the headline “The Secret’s Out! Kate’s Pregnancy Confirmed” with a “source” who is a so-called “royal observer.” “Rumors have been swirling for months that Kate could be pregnant, and the fact that she looked so much fuller in the body and face all seems to point to a royal baby,” the source said.
“It’s no secret that Kate has always wanted to have four children, and with all the drama that has gone on in the royal family over the past few months, a new baby would bring some welcome happiness,” the source added. “By wearing that tight dress last week, it’s almost like Kate was confirming her special news.”
It is apparent that the tabloid had zero facts backing its audacious headline when it was letting the story rest on theories like Kate wearing a tight dress, supposedly “glowing” and showing off a “bumpy appearance in Ireland.”
But what the magazine missed, as Gossip Cop, pointed out was Kate and Prince William making a stop in the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, where they enjoyed a pint of the legendary Irish beer. Given Kate’s history of difficult pregnancies, it is highly unlikely that the Duchess would endanger her child by drinking alcohol.
In the past too, the magazine Women’s Day had been rather inaccurate with news about Kate Middleton. In October 2019, it wrongly reported that Queen Elizabeth had handed Middleton the throne, which is impossible as the Queen has no power to change the line of succession when it comes to the British monarch and decide who gets the crown.
