Kate Middleton and Prince William are ready to grow their family! A source recently let slip to Us Weekly that the couple is “on the same page” about hopefully having another child. Although their plans were put off by the coronavirus pandemic, they have decided to “start trying again” now that the vaccine is being administered and their children are headed back to school.
It definitely sounds like a royal baby boom is happening, considering the recent birth of Princess Eugenie‘s first son and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s exciting pregnancy announcement. And we’re hoping to hear more from Kate and Will soon!
Although this news might come as a surprise to some, it was actually always Kate’s plan.
The insider explained to Us, “Having four children was always part of Kate’s plan. She put the idea on hold when [the pandemic] hit, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine and [her children] scheduled to return to school in April. She feels ready to start trying again.”
However, it did take some convincing to get William on board.
“It took a while for Kate to convince William, though,” the source continues.”He said that three children is more than enough. The thought of having four made him feel overwhelmed… But Kate’s desires to have another child have inspired him, and at the end of the day, he loves and appreciates the secure family setting he never had growing up. Why not make it bigger?”
The insider continued, “After taking some time to think about it, he’s on the same page and is excited about the future.”
Apparently, the Duchess is hoping for a daughter. The insider explained that she would like to give Charlotte a baby sister, especially considering her own “extremely close” relationship with her sister, Pippa.
“She wants Charlotte to have the same enjoyable experience — to grow up with a little a sister to confide in and look out for,” the source said.
