The 28-year-old hitmaker has teased fans for weeks with teasers of the music video for her smash hit chart-topping single ‘Roar’ but she’s given them a treat for the weekend by premiering the official music video.
The stunning visuals see Katy make her way through a jungle dressed sexily in a leopard print bra and leaf skirt while encountering some animal friends on the way including an adorable monkey and elephant before finally coming face to face with her nemisis, a tiger.
‘Roar’ has proved to be one of Katy’s most successful songs to date with the track finally managing to end Robin Thicke’s mammoth 12-week reign on the Billboard charts with ‘Blurred Lines’ this week.
Following her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, Katy brought forward the single’s release date in the UK due to popular demand from fans and it looks set to soar to number one on Sunday after ending Ellie Goulding’s three-week reign with ‘Burn.’
Next month she will be heading to London to close this year’s iTunes festival at London’s Camden Roundhouse where fans will be able to see the mega star perform new tracks from her hotly anticipated album ‘Prism’ which hits shelves October 22 in the UK and a day later in the US.
