Kim Kardashian Is ‘A Bit Nervous’ About ‘American Horror Story’ Role

Nobody can dispute Kim Kardashian’s status as a legitimate television star, but this summer, American Horror Story season 12 will feature Kim in a totally different sort of program than the reality series we’re accustomed to seeing her on (by the way, season three of The Kardashians debuts on May 25 on Hulu!).

Kim has acted in films, such as 2013’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, although she has only sometimes appeared on television other than reality shows or as herself, as she has done on How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, and Two Broke Girls.

She did, however, improve her acting skills on Saturday Night Live in October 2021, to considerable excitement. Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian published a teaser for the FX series on Instagram with the statement “Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate,” set to a broken rendition of “Rock-a-Bye Baby,” People reports. This is how the news about American Horror Story was revealed.

Kim is one of the biggest and brightest television personalities in the world, and we are happy to welcome her to the AHS family, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter after FX announced the casting. Emma and I are eager to work with this influential cultural force.

Kim is “a little anxious,” according to Us Weekly, about diving into acting on one of television’s most acclaimed shows. The publication quotes a source as saying, “Kim is incredibly delighted about such a fantastic chance to be cast in AHS. She knows this is part of a lifetime.”

That really is an honor, especially given that she is collaborating with some of the most skilled individuals on one of the most recognizable brands. She was a little apprehensive about taking on such a significant endeavor, but she felt she couldn’t pass it up.

The source says that her position in the show was a “hard secret to maintain,” and she is eager for fans to watch how she rises to the occasion. According to the insider, “She can’t wait for them to watch her step into this role.” She has acted before, of course, but this seems much better.

Kim spoke candidly to Interview Magazine in September about conceivable acting jobs, asking, “Would I act? If anything enjoyable happened, I would. A Marvel film may be interesting to make. While I’m not actively seeking, I believe that things simply happen when they should.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new book Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine will serve as the inspiration for the twelfth season of American Horror Story. The plot of the book is described as a “gripping thriller that follows a woman persuaded a malevolent figure is going to great efforts to ensure her pregnancy never happens—while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”
