It isn’t like any of them could hide the fact that they have money seeing as how they live their lives on camera every day.
When the Kardashian’s and Jenner’s aren’t living and showing their full-lives on camera for the reality show, they can be found posting pictures of themselves on social media.
And, that is exactly what Kim Kardashian is being sued for, now, all because she posted a picture of herself and Kanye on Instagram. However, the reason she is being sued for posting it is that she didn’t take it herself.
The whole thing started when Kim and her husband Kanye West went to a listening party for rapper Nas’ new album. The one who took the picture of the couple was Saeed Bolden and this all happened in 2018.
Bolden is a part of the paparazzi and he thought when he saw Kardashian and West that it was a sweet moment between the couple and decided to take a photo of them. And, because Kardashian liked the picture so much, she decided to post it to her Instagram account for everyone to see.
Now, Kardashian has been sued for posting the photo of her and Kanye on her Instagram. Bolden claims her actions were, “willful, intentional, and purposeful, in disregard of and indifference to Plaintiff’s rights.”

Bolden is claiming unspecified damages and even mentioned her company, Skims as part of his lawsuit against her.Now, you may be wondering, how could he sue her for posting a picture of herself and her husband on Instagram?
The thing is, just because the picture is of her and Kanye, doesn’t mean that she owns the copyrights to it. In fact, in some states, just the fact alone that he may own the copyrights to the picture is enough to allow him to sue her. And, if the picture was taken of these two celebrities in a public place, which it was since it was taken at a party, then he definitely owns the copyrights to the photo.
Not only this but the most likely reason for him mentioning her company, Skims in the lawsuit, is because she posts sponsored messages promoting her company on her Instagram.
And, because of this reason, it technically makes it as though she made money off of the picture, even though she didn’t. But, since she makes money from her Instagram because of her sponsored posts on there about her company, then this gives him more of a right to sue her.
Celebrities are easy targets for these kinds of lawsuits, especially by the paparazzi since they love making money from taking pictures of celebrities. Not only is Kim not the only celebrity to have been through this type of lawsuit before, but she is not the only Kardashian sister to be sued with one of these lawsuits.
Khloe Kardashian went through the same kind of lawsuit in 2018 when she posted a picture of herself and her sister Kourtney Kardashian that was taken when they were leaving a restaurant in Miami. Although the picture was taken without Khloe and Kourtney’s permission, the same as with Kim and Kanye, as soon as Khloe posted it on social media, the lawsuit was started.
Khloe, and most other celebrities that go through similar lawsuits, tend to settle out of court instead of fighting it and dragging it out. They do have the money to do this.
Not only do they not have the time to fight these lawsuits, but fighting them and dragging them out as long as possible to try to win costs them even more than they are worth. So, they just settle out of court and get it over with. This is most likely what Kim Kardashian will do about this lawsuit.
