When she was just 18-years-old — Jenner started Kylie Cosmetics which propelled her to the A-list. With the initial Lip Kit launch on Nov. 30, 2015 — the Kylie Beauty mogul became way more than just a reality star.
Since then, Jenner’s net worth has grown exponentially. As one of the most-followed people on Instagram, her influence in popular culture cannot be understated. However, now that Jenner is raising a young daughter, Stormi Webster. She’s had to rethink how she approaches her life in the spotlight.
Though they had a whirlwind romance and they seemed completely in sync with one another, Jenner and her ex-beau — rapper Travis Scott shocked the world when they split in September 2019. It seemed like being in the spotlight was just entirely too much strain on them. Scott told XXL, “The hard part about relationships is just trying to be in one without a million outside voices interfering.”
However, if there is one thing the duo remains a united front about, it’s their daughter Stormi. For holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, and certainly, Stormi’s birthday celebrations — the duo have remained super tight.
“We have such a great relationship,” Jenner told Harper’s BAZAAR of Scott. “We’re like best friends. We both love Stormi and want what’s best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi.”
Though she lives her life under a microscope and can’t do anything without people commenting — negative or positive, Jenner says that she doesn’t recall a time when she wasn’t uber-famous. In fact, since she was just 10 when KUWTK began so she doens’t remember much about life before the show.
“Even before the show, my dad always had an audience, so I was always around that energy,” she explained to Harper’s BAZAAR. “I don’t know. I think it’s a blessing, the way it happened so early, because I don’t really know what it would be like to not be famous or in the limelight.”
Though Jenner and Scott kept the makeup mogul’s pregnancy secret until after Stormi’s birth — the adorable little one has been in the spotlight since then. The duo often shares snaps of Stormi on their social media pages, and it’s clear she already has her own little personality. Still, Jenner is aware that fame will have its challenges for her daughter.
