Lauren Conrad and William Tell have finally tied the knot. Lauren Conrad is officially Mrs Tell. The Hills and Laguna Beach favourite tied the knot with fiancé William Tell in a picturesque ceremony in Santa Ynez, California on Saturday, US Weekly confirms. The long-time couple said their vows in front of just an intimate group of their nearest and dearest family and friends.
‘What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most,’ the newlyweds said in a statement to the publication. While it is not yet known if the bride wore a creation of her own making, the designer was responsible for the gowns her nine bridesmaids donned.
The 28-year-old recently launched a bridesmaids collection as part of her Paper Crown clothing line and let her bridal party – which included childhood friend and former co-star Lo Bosworth – choose the style that they liked the most.
Speaking to Martha Stewart Weddings last month as she gave the first look at the collection, the bride-to-be revealed her relaxed approach: ‘I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colours. I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones.
‘I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable.’ She also explained that when it came to their hair, she was once again ‘letting the girls do whatever they want’ – though she added that she favours an understated look. ‘Understated is always best, so I think trying to go more classic is always a nice choice because you don’t want anybody to stand out in a negative way,’ she said.
Lauren and the 34-year-old lawyer had a fairytale start to their romance, set up on a blind date by friends on Valentine’s Day 2012. Tell popped the question in October last year, presenting the pretty blonde with a stunning round-cut diamond on a classic platinum setting. The bride-to-be and her girlfriends celebrated her impending nuptials with a trip to Mexico in June for her bachelorette party, before enjoying a more intimate, low-key bridal showed just last month.
