According to the details, Jay Linneman, owner of Linnie’s Pub in Cincinnati, announced the ban shortly after a tweet from James about the death of Ma’khia Bryant.
Furthermore, Linneman said that he’s “never been busier” since telling people that he wouldn’t be showing NBA games until LeBron James was expelled from the league.
“The support for the position has been overwhelmingly positive and has far outweighed the negatives,” Linneman said.
The drama began last week when LeBron James tweeted a photo of the police officer who shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant. Along with a picture he wrote, “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” with an hourglass emoji.
The tweet was viewed as a threat by many, including the Fraternal Order of Police. Rather than apologizing or telling people not to bother the officer, LeBron just deleted the post and carried on.
.@KingJames, with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless.
The officer saved a young girl's life. No amount of gaslighting will change that fact. pic.twitter.com/GTHn1VAAlf

Public responses on Twitter ranged from calls to boycott the pub to praise for the pub owner’s position.
“The support for the position has been overwhelmingly positive and has far outweighed the negatives,” the bar owner said.
Bryant was killed shortly before former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murdering George Floyd.
