Green and Fox’s latest split wasn’t the first. In 2015, sources claimed that the “Jennifer’s Body” star decided to call it quits while her husband was battling what was described by Page Six as a “stroke-like syndrome,” which left him glued to the bed and unable to move.
It can be remembered that Green was first diagnosed with a brain condition in December 2014 which left him bedridden for a good six months. An insider claimed that he was seriously ill that he couldn’t even lift his head.
By spring of 2015, Fox had to fly to New York for the production of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows,” which was released the following year. When she came home, sources said the “Transformers” actress was very persistent about splitting with Green – and she did file for divorce in August.
However, the divorce didn’t push through as they reconciled. Reports revealed that after battling such a serious health problem, Green worked hard to restore his and Fox’s marriage.
Fast forward to today and the couple have split anew despite Green saying in his podcast they shared “an amazing relationship.” The 46-year-old also defended his wife against haters after Fox was spotted hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly after their split.
He said he knew the artist although he never met Machine Gun Kelly. However, Green understood that the musician worked with his wife on “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” a thriller directed by Randall Emmett.
“Megan and I have talked about him and they’re friends at this point. From what she’s expressed, he’s a really just nice, genuine guy. And I trust her judgment. She’s always had really good judgment,” Green said.
However, insiders aren’t going to bury the fact that Fox dumped Green during a phase that he described as “the worst time of my life.”
Fox’s camp denied any wrongdoing in the relationship but didn’t address the accusation.
