Meghan and Harry’s fans wonder if former royal couple will do this ONE thing

MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry‘s fans have been left wondering whether the royal couple will create a new social media account to share news of baby Archie, as he approaches his first birthday in May.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to quit the Royal Family, they forfeited their right to their HRH titles and had to give up their Sussex Royal brand.

Before stepping back from their royal duties, the couple took one last opportunity to post a message to their fans, using their Sussex Royal Instagram account. The post addressed the current COVID-19 pandemic and a statement that they would still be at work even if they were not on social media.

In their statement, Meghan and Harry wrote: “What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic.

“As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

At the end of their message, they left a tantalising clue about a possible relaunch of their social media presence.

She explained: “We now know the Sussex Royal, the Instagram account, will be inactive, meaning that there will be no further updates from Harry and Meghan on that account.

“But in a month’s time, is baby Archie’s first birthday.

“I think a lot of us were expecting that since they’ve given us Archie gifts and little Archie drops in the past that that would be the account where we would see some sort of Archie birthday wish — his big milestone.”

She continued: “So now, is Archie’s birthday just going to pass quietly and no one is going to see a new photo of him?

“Or will some kind of new Sussex social media account be set up by then so that we can be like, ‘oh hey, Archie’s one?

“I’m really, really curious about what is going to happen by that date and what may or may not be in place.”

This comes as a friend of Meghan recently provided a heartwarming update on adorable baby Archie, as the Sussex family settle into their new Hollywood surroundings.

The family moved to Los Angeles from Vancouver Island before the borders between Canada and the US were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

All three are now self-isolating as they ride out the storm caused by the COVID-19 health crisis.

A friend told People: “Like everyone, the Sussexes are adjusting to social distancing, being cautious and safe.”

One member of the family blissfully unaware of all the fuss and panic and enjoying life to the full, is baby Archie.

The friend said: “He is teething and is a happy baby.

“I’m sure he is happy to be in the California sunshine.”
