New Idea published the misleading headline in this week’s issue and said that it’s over for Meghan Markle and her husband.
At first glance, the misleading headline seemingly suggests that the couple’s marriage is over. However, the tabloid’s article is all about the scandals that Markle and Prince Harry faced throughout the past three years.
Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle divorcing?
From there, the tabloid revisited some of the biggest controversies involving the couple. And they started off with Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s book, Finding Freedom.
Last year, Markle claimed that she didn’t have any involvement in the book. However, it was later revealed that she gave some insights to some of the people that Scobie and Durand interviewed.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle scandals throughout the years
The tabloid also mentioned Markle’s feud with her dad, Thomas Markle Sr. The father and daughter had a falling out shortly after Markle and Prince Harry got engaged.
Until today, Markle and Thomas haven’t patched things up. And the former even filed a lawsuit against Mail on Sunday for allegedly publishing her private letters to her dad.
The Duchess of Sussex was also accused of lying during her engagement interview. After all, she said that she didn’t know much about the royal family.
Did the Duchess of Sussex lie about the royal family?
However, sources revealed that this isn’t the case. In fact, the Suits alum was, reportedly, heartbroken following the news of Princess Diana’s death.
A photo of Meghan Markle outside Buckingham Palace was also leaked. And her critics used this to confirm that Markle knows about the royal family.
Prince Harry was also criticized after he said that he will never become a celebrity.
“There is a big difference between being a show-business celebrity and being a royal. And I will never, ever become a celebrity. There’s a narrow line, but I never want to cross it,” he said.
But following his move to the United States, Prince Harry signed deals with Netflix and Spotify. He will also appear in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
And he and Markle will also guest-star in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
But despite all these scandals and challenges, there’s no indication that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are divorcing.
