On Tuesday (May 19), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated another milestone in their marriage, it was their second wedding anniversary. However, many noticed that the royal family never mentioned or acknowledged it.
Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018. The royal family typically celebrates marriage milestones on social media. However, no member of the Firm greeted the couple on Instagram or Twitter including Prince William, Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II, Marie Claire reported.
Last year, the Queen and other members of the royal family acknowledged their first anniversary by sharing a wedding photo of the Sussexes on Instagram.
“Wishing The Duke and Duchess of Sussex a very happy wedding anniversary. Today marks one year since Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle,” the royal family wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace didn’t publicly wish Prince Harry and Markle a happy wedding anniversary last year. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared photos of their children including Prince Louis who was starting to walk at the time.
At present, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in the United States. They decided to settle in a secluded place in Los Angeles after carrying out their final royal engagement in March.
Meanwhile, Kate Jackson of The Sun claimed earlier that a divorce between the Sussexes is likely because the duchess is suffering from a “two-year itch.” She pointed out that most of the major things in Markle’s life did not last three years.
“Meghan Markle can’t stick to anything for more than two years – from her first husband and pals to being a Royal,” Jackson wrote.
