Meghan Markle Played CRUCIAL Role in Convincing Prince Harry to talk About Mum Diana’s Death; Here’s How

From admitting that he fears for his wife Meghan due to the media treatment to talking about his mum Princess Diana’s death, the Duke has opened up candidly on a host of things in the past few years.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are one of the few royals to have spoken their minds in public. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been at the forefront of poignant charitable causes and led the way after they got married in 2018. However, Prince Harry hasn’t always been the vocal person he is today. From admitting that he fears for his wife Meghan due to the media treatment to talking about his mum Princess Diana’s death, the Duke has opened up candidly on a host of things in the past few years. And it looks like, Meghan Markle may be the driving force behind Harry’s outspoken nature.

According to latest reports, Harry had appeared on the podcast, Mad World, back in 2017. It was the Duke’s first ever big interview wherein he spoke about dealing with his mother’s death. The interview with journalist Bryony Gordon was widely talked about. And in a recent article for The Daily Telegraph, Gordon revealed that Meghan played a huge role in convincing Harry to appear on the podcast. “It was Meghan who encouraged her then boyfriend to do the podcast about his mental health with me,” she wrote.

Back then, Harry had revealed that he sought help in his late twenties to cope with his mother, Princess Diana’s, tragic death in 1997. In her piece, Gordon revealed that Prince Harry was as nervous as her. She wrote, “Like a small child who doesn’t understand that the spider is just as scared of them as they are of it, I simply hadn’t entertained the notion that the fifth (now sixth) in line to the throne might be experiencing some pre-interview jitters too.”
