Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Oprah Interview allegedly affected Danish Royals

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey allegedly affected Prince Frederik and Princess Mary.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made shocking revelations during their tell-all with Oprah Winfrey. Their explosive interview served as a warning to other royals, according to a report.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry effect in Denmark

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly set a precedent for other royals to open up about their experiences. However, it sparked concerns among Princess Mary and Prince Frederick, who feared that his younger brother, Prince Joachim, and his wife, Princess Marie, will do the same tell-all, New Idea reported.

Just like Prince William and Prince Harry, the Danish royals were very close when they were young that they were even called pseudo-twins. However, they grow apart while growing up, Danish royal commentator Anna Thygesen told New Idea.

“Frederik always knowing that he would end up as the King of Denmark, whereas Joachim had to define his own way of life,” she continued. “I think that has been separating them.”

Aside from their different roles in their family, the expert felt that the two are very different persons. The outlet also claimed that there were ongoing tensions between their wives Mary and Marie. European historian Oskar Aanmoen claimed that Princess Mary and Princess Marie aren’t fond of each other.

If Prince Joachim and Princess Marie will follow Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s path, it will be a huge blow to Princess Mary, who made an effort to keep a private life over the years, the report added.

Danish royals unlikely to do what the Sussexes did

Oskar Aanmoen believed that it would be unlikely for Prince Joachim and Princess Marie to do a similar tell-all as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for a reason.

First, if they would do a damaging interview, Oskar wasn’t sure if they would ever be forgiven.

Second, according to Aanmoen, Danish royals gave each other nice smiles during their encounters and preferred to dislike each other in secret.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s earns a royal critic

Prince Albert of Monaco reacted to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. He was empathetic toward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but he disapproved of their move by bringing their complaints on national TV.

The Monacan royal said the interview bothered him “a little bit” because it was not the appropriate forum to bring their concerns which could have been best discussed within the intimate quarters of the family.
