Meghan involuntarily fuelled pregnancy rumours yesterday, as she visited Canada House with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex was spotted leaving the building, just off Trafalgar Square in central London, carrying her coat in front of herself.
This simple gesture sparked a discussion among panellists at Australian breakfast show Sunrise concerning a possible second pregnancy of the Duchess, with host David Koch adding Meghan has “a glow”.
He told his co-host Samantha Armytage: “I think she has got a glow about her.”
This sparked a lively discussion among the panellists.
One asked: “Oh, the glow?”
Followed by another, who added: “What are you saying?”
Mr Koch continued to tease: “What do you think I am saying?”
He was then prompted to continue, saying: “Do you think she is hiding her belly?”
Mr Koch added: “The way she is holding her coat is reminiscent of when she was trying to hide her previous pregnancy.”
Another journalist in the studio agreed with Mr Koch, saying: “Oh yes, she had the purple folder when she got off the plane in Sydney.”
Meghan and Harry landed in Australia to kick-off their 16-day tour Down Under on October 15 2018.
As she arrived in Sydney, Meghan seemed to put in front of her belly a purple binder.
Three days before, when the Sussexes attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, royal commentators noticed how Meghan was wearing a large coat which seemed to be hiding her belly.
Meghan and Harry eventually announced the Duchess of Sussex’ pregnancy on the first day of the tour Down Under, a few hours after arriving to Australia.
Meghan and Harry returned to work yesterday after a six-week break from royal duties, which they decided to spend in Canada.
For their first engagement of the decade, Meghan and Harry decided to head to Canada House to thank the country and its people for the warmth and hospitality they found there.
Speaking about the Commonwealth country, Prince Harry told the High Commissioner to the UK and Canadian diplomats in London just how beautiful he found their country.
He said: “What a wonderful place you live in.
“Thank you so much for having us – not that any of you had anything to do with it.
“But the warmth and hospitality that we were shown while there was unbelievable, and that’s exactly why we chose to go out there, so thank you.”
Similarly, Meghan spoke in awe of the country, where she has lived while filming US TV legal drama Suits.
She said: “My goodness it was just such an incredible time we were able to have there and with our son too.
“And just to be able to take in the warmth that we experienced from the people also just walk around and just see the beauty of Canada.”
The Duchess of Sussex added her son, seven-month-old Archie Harrison, also loved his stay in Canada.
She added: “To see Archie go ‘ahh’ when you walk by and just see how stunning it is, so it meant a lot to us.”
