Meghan Markle Has ‘Americanized’ Husband Prince Harry With US Move

Meghan Markle has “Americanized” her British husband Prince Harry with their move to the U.S., according to “Ladies of London” star Julie Montagu.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January that they were stepping back from their royal rules. Following their bombshell announcement, they moved to Canada.

The royal couple stayed there from January until March when they returned to the U.K. to carry out their final engagement as working royals. They also flew back to Canada after the Commonwealth Day service. And so it was a shock to many when it was reported that they had quietly moved to the U.S.

In fact, some didn’t believe the reports that Prince Harry and Markle already moved to Los Angeles. Many claimed that the reports were nothing but fake news. Their move was only confirmed when Prince Harry and Markle were photographed volunteering to deliver hot meals around Los Angeles.

Montagu, who is married to Luke Timothy Charles Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke, the son of the Earl of Sandwich, commented on the Sussexes’ move.

“I think that Meghan has slightly Americanized Harry. I love it,” Montagu said.

She admitted that she was surprised that they moved to the U.S. because she thought they would live in Canada for good.

“I actually thought they were going to stay in Canada, just because I thought it would be more peaceful for them,” she added. “I thought it was a good transition country — a good compromise.”

Montagu, a mother of four, said that she understands if Markle wants to stay close to her mom, Doria Ragland. Also, she shared her opinion about Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to announce the name of their new foundation amid the pandemic.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that their foundation is going to be called Archewell. However, many questioned the timing of their announcement because it happened amid the pandemic.
