The royal couple also accused the royal family of being a racist after one member allegedly raised concern over Archie’s skin color. The Queen’s cousin spoke about the issue and sided with the royal family.
Meghan Markle was wrong to air dirty linen
Princess Olga Andreevna Romanoff was asked about the younger royals being open in discussing their grievances to the public when she appeared on ITV’s Lorraine. The host was wondering it was part of modernizing the monarchy.
“[The Queen’s] children have given extensive TV interviews, we have seen that,” Lorraine said. “Do you think that is the way ahead to modernise the Royal Family or do you just think people should shh?”
Princess Olga seemingly disapproved of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move. For her, royals should keep their family affair private.
“I was told to sit down and shut up and never wash your dirty linen in public, whatever it happens to be,” Princess Olga said per The Sun before adding, “So I think the Queen does it right.”
Prince Harry rocking the boat
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward also disapproved of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to open up about their family issues on national TV. The author of William & Harry couldn’t understand why the royal couple had to unburden themselves to Oprah Winfrey.
Seward told Page Six that Prince Harry wanted to rock the boat. He said the Duke of Sussex knew what he was doing and wasn’t surprised by the repercussions of his actions. In fact, he didn’t show any regrets about it for a moment.
She also couldn’t believe why Markle had to say her request for mental health assistance was denied by Buckingham Palace. Seward said it was difficult to understand why she had to tell it when she could ask help from her husband. According to Seward, Prince Harry was in therapy himself, so he must have known people who could help his wife.
