Meghan Markle’s Pep Talk Helped a Total Stranger Nail Her Internship Interview and Land the Position

Meghan Markle must give one hell of a pep talk because after a woman spoke with the Duchess of Sussex ahead of a big interview, she landed the job.

Yup, remember last week when we reported that the duchess made a surprise video call to a client of Smart Works, which aims to provide underprivileged women with interview-appropriate clothing and skills for the job market? Well, the organization just gave us an update, and, apparently, she got the position.

“We are so thrilled that following her virtual appointment, our client got the job and will be starting her internship during the summer months,” Smart Works revealed on Twitter. “It is always a special moment when clients let us know they have been successful in an interview.” Major congrats!

The woman (who was unnamed) was preparing for an interview for a psychology internship when Markle called to wish her “best of luck.” “I think you’re going to be fantastic,” the duchess said in the clip. “I just wanted to be able to call in and tell you best of luck and my fingers are crossed for you.
We guess Meghan’s evil eye necklace, which is supposed to bring “positive vibes,” does work after all.
