Lambert jokingly shared her mom’s belief that her meatloaf recipe has the power to seal the deal, stating, “She always says, ‘It’s the loaf that’ll getcha the ring,’ and I mean, it worked for me twice, so there’s that.”
The country singer proudly praised her mom, Bev, and her magical recipe, revealing that in their friend group, it has become a tradition. If someone is getting serious in a relationship, they are either invited to Bev Lambert’s house to savor the famous meatloaf or the person themselves prepares it for their significant other, told OK!
The recipe has not only worked its charm on Blake Shelton, whom Lambert married in 2011 before their 2015 split but also on her current husband, Brendan McLoughlin, with whom she tied the knot in 2019.
Lambert playfully shared that there have been numerous cases where people either brought their partners to her mom’s house and then got engaged or prepared the meatloaf themselves and experienced a similar outcome.
She concluded with a lighthearted laugh, saying, “I don’t know, it’s just like a little spell. There’s something in there.”
Lambert’s rare mention of her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, who has since married Gwen Stefani, comes after their highly publicized divorce years ago.
