The veteran actor was considered to be the last surviving star of Hollywood’s Golden age. It is being reported that the star died of a natural cause in her home in Paris. The actor was living there for more than 60 years now.

Hollywood has now come ahead and reacted to Olivia de Havilland’s demise. Jared Leto wrote a long note as a tribute to the late actor. An excerpt from his tweet read, “The legendary Olivia De Havilland passed away yesterday.

She was 104. Olivia made a powerful impact in my life and I had the pleasure to spend some time with her in Paris. I thanked her for her bravery and shared how her choices affected me and my brother.”

Olivia de Havilland grabbed eyeballs back in the 1930s when she starred with Errol Flynn in a series of films. Olivia then went on to be the evergreen Melanie Hamilton in the 1939 classic Hollywood film Gone With The Wind. The film has eight Oscars to its credit including the Best Picture.

In her much spoken about acting career, the actor won two Academy Awards (Oscars) and was nominated five times in total. Olivia was also known for being a powerful voice who even challenged the studio system in Hollywood. Her feud with sister Joan Fontaine was also a big and famous episode of her life.
