In August, Globe claimed that Portia de Rossi has had enough of her comedian wife.
Back then, DeGeneres was embroiled in a slew of scandals. And she, allegedly, begged her wife for one last chance.
However, de Rossi felt that it was the right time to leave the comedian or at least have a trial separation. After all, the Ellen Show host hasn’t been treating her right.
A source for the tabloid claimed that DeGeneres does nothing but bark orders at de Rossi. And the funny woman also, allegedly, treats her wife like an underappreciated assistant.
To make things worse, DeGeneres, allegedly, works too much to the point that she doesn’t have time for her wife.
The comedian, allegedly, tried to beg de Rossi to stay with her by giving the Scandal star lavish presents.
And three months have passed but the tabloid never gave an update on DeGeneres and de Rossi’s marriage. This proves that the tabloid was just creating bait and switch stories about the happy couple.
Gossip Cop also busted the tabloid for saying that DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are on the brink of a divorce when they’re not. In fact, it’s not true that the couple is having problems in their marriage.
The rumor-debunking site also pointed out that what Globe did was rehash DeGeneres’ long list of scandals instead of providing concrete instances where the couple almost split.
Around the time that the tabloid published its dubious story on DeGeneres and de Rossi, the Ally McBeal star showed her support for her wife
On her Instagram account, de Rossi thanked those who have been showing their support to DeGeneres. She also started using a hashtag that failed to trend on social media.
In September, de Rossi also joined DeGeneres on the set of Ellen Show when she apologized to her viewers and former employees amid claims of a toxic work environment on set.
DeGeneres continues to host the talk show today. And while there are not many updates on the scandal from months ago, Ellen Show has not completely recovered.
According to reports, the ratings for the program have been on a downward spiral since it premiered two months ago.
