The disgraced Duke of York, who was stripped of his title and official position when Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein, received a multi-million dollar judgement, is no longer frequently spotted with the family.
He was not only welcomed to the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, but he also walked closely behind his sister, Princess Anne, and next to his elder brother, Queen Consort Camilla. It is commonly thought that Charles and his son Prince William encouraged Queen Elizabeth to deprive his 63-year-old brother of his title in 2021.
“I was astonished to see Andrew directly behind Charles and particularly next to Anne,” a seasoned royal observer told Page Six. Normally, they are not so near.
The insider claimed: “There’s a strict delineation between family events like [holidays] and anything official, and it would have been awkward for Charles not to invite Andrew when his two girls, Beatrice and Eugenie, were there with their partners.
Despite the photos fueling rumours that Andrew might be planning some sort of return to public life. Yet Andrew has no means to return to public life. Andrew will attend King Charles’ coronation, but he won’t be allowed to go up on the balcony at Buckingham Palace because, according to the insider, “that’s only for working royals.”
At his mother’s burial in September, the prince was granted a front-row seat. It is unknown where he will sit at the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6. Andrew will be alright, according to a person who knows the prince, despite this.
Despite rumours that Andrew may pen a tell-all book, similar to his nephew Prince Harry, a source informed Page Six that this is extremely improbable. The individual who is familiar with Andrew remarked, “Andrew’s future lies in a life of service behind the scenes.”
Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s ex-wife, continues to offer support, saying to The Independent this week: “Nothing can trump love for me… You can do anything for love when you’re in love, she remarked.
“And I wed a great, very good man who was also extremely kind. I developed feelings for him. Nothing was therefore insurmountable.
