Apart from Piers Morgan, more people now want Prince Harry to completely surrender the royal titles he still has.
On change.org’s website, a petition titled Invitation to Prince Harry to request that The Queen put his titles into abeyance dominated the site. Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell herself made the petition solely for the Duke of Sussex.
What the petition wants Prince Harry to do
The first part of the petition immediately explains that they aim to invite Prince Harry to officially remove his titles. They also asked the Duke of Sussex to directly talk to Queen Elizabeth II to free himself from any royal rank.

That way, they believe, Prince Harry would no longer create implications as a royal member.
“As a purely private citizen, with no royal rank, style or title, he will be able to indulge his personal beliefs, as is the right of all private citizens, without the consequential possibility of damaging the institution of the Monarchy or relations between Friendly Powers,” the statement says.
Lady Campbell added that once the prince gives up the title, he could finally express his beliefs as freely as possible. She went on to claim that this would allow him to enjoy the credits he always wanted.
People react to the petition
Meanwhile, people left comments on the website to explain why they signed on the appeal. Most of them highlighted that Prince Harry has been damaging the U.K. with his recent statements.
One user said, “He despises everything about Great Britain and his life including his family, our royal family. I feel he is past redemption. We cannot have someone like this in the line of succession.”
Another one added that continuing the use of royal titles means that Prince Harry is insulting the country. Others also expressed their disapproval toward the royal prince due to his reckless statements against the royal family.
Although the comment section immediately became home to criticisms, Lady Campbell wanted to deliver a non-vicious message. She particularly said that the decision will resolve the conflicts the royal prince has with the royal family.
Apart from the petition, Piers Morgan publicly slammed the prince and asked for the same thing.
He recently told The Sun that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be “stripped of their titles.” The former Good Morning Britain presenter accused the couple of trashing the institution.
