Princess Beatrice’s ‘Low-Profile’ Wedding Will Reportedly Take Place In Italy

Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was previously rumored to take place in Italy because the latter is from Bergamo. Now, there’s another reason why their nuptials will most likely take place outside London.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that the Yorks are a very difficult brand at the moment. As such, they should consider staying out of the spotlight for as long as possible.

Before Prince Andrew’s sexual abuse scandal came to light, Princess Beatrice already announced her upcoming wedding and said that it would take place in the spring of 2020. It is unlikely for the 31-year-old royal to cancel her big day.

But Fitzwilliams said that Princess Beatrice’s wedding will most likely take place in Italy because this is what’s best for her and the royal family.

“The public has not found the issues surrounding Andrew edifying… it will only be very sensible to keep it low profile and keep taxpayer expenditure at an absolute minimum,” he said.

Fitzwilliams added that Princess Beatrice and Mozzi’s wedding won’t be televised like Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

“There is no question that Beatrice’s will be nothing like a high profile as her sister’s. Eugenie’s wedding was shortly after Meghan and Harry’s – when the royals were riding high. But the Yorks are a very difficult brand at the moment,” he said.

Meanwhile, Liz Taylor, the CEO of Taylor Lynn Corporation, told Express that Princess Beatrice’s wedding will most likely still take place in the spring.

The season is reportedly ideal for weddings because there is a renewed energy in the season after the dark winter months. Flowers also come into bloom in the spring.

Taylor also said that wedding photos look more beautiful in the spring because the days are longer, which provides more opportunities for taking outdoor shots. In June, the sunsets are also more beautiful.
